As a part of the effort to deepen the Miami
River (by the US Army Corps of Engineers),
Miami-Dade County was charged with replacing
the existing submarine cables with new
cables at a deeper profile to accommodate
the new canal cross section at three bascule
bridges: NW 17th Ave, NW 22nd
Ave, and Miami Ave. BPA provided
Construction Inspection Services for this
project. The project finished well ahead of
schedule. Construction value for this
project is $1.5 million.
