Perez & Associates
was responsible for the design and contract
documents, including South Florida Water
Management District (SFWMD) right-of-way
permit sketches for the bridge on Waldin
Drive over the C-103 canal. The bridge is a
widening of an existing sonovoid bridge
carrying SW 280th Street (Waldin
Drive) over the C-103N Canal. The bridge
widening is founded on 18-inch pile bents
supporting a reinforced concrete deck slab
with 17’-6” end spans and a 32’ main span.
The new widening expands the existing
two-lane facility into four lanes with a 15’
median, bicycle lanes and sidewalks.
